Founded in 1938 and named for the Cornudas Mountains 14 miles to the
north, Cornudas, Texas is located on US Highway 180/62 approximately one
hour southwest of the Guadalupe Mountains National Park and 53 miles
east of bustling El Paso, Texas.
Nestled in between the Cornudas Mountains and Sierra Tinaja Pinta
Summit to the north, the Guadalupe Mountains to the east, the Black
Mountains and Finlay Mountains to the South and Hueco Mountains to the
west; it offers spectacular views of west Texas perfection.
Beautiful mountain sunrises and colorful desert sunsets will take your
breath away. If you've never been there, it's worth the drive for the breathtaking
views alone.
While in the area you should stop in at May's Cafe,
which has earned a reputation for serving up some incredibly delicious
burgers that keep the local patrons coming back for more...
